This English version is a convenience translation. Only the German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is legally binding.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Leodor Beteiligungs GmbH (Leodor Ventures)
Büteroder Weg 5
30539 Hannover
Germany
Represented by its Managing Director Boris Lokschin
Email: boris.lokschin@leodor-ventures.com

No data protection officer has been appointed, as the legal requirements under Art. 37 GDPR and Section 38 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) are not met.

2. Summary

  • This website does not use cookies.
  • There is no tracking, no advertising and no analysis of user behaviour.
  • No third-party content is embedded. Fonts are served from our own web space, not from Google or any other third party.
  • There are no forms. Contact is possible by email only.
  • Personal data is processed only where technically necessary to deliver the website or when you send us an email.

3. Hosting and delivery of the website (Cloudflare)

This website is provided via the Cloudflare Pages service and the content delivery network (CDN) of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare"). Cloudflare stores the files of this website and delivers them to your browser through a global server network.

When you access the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data automatically transmitted by your browser, in particular:

  • IP address of the requesting device,
  • date and time of access,
  • page or file requested and amount of data transferred,
  • HTTP status code,
  • referrer URL (the previously visited page, if transmitted),
  • browser type, browser version and operating system (user agent).

This data is processed to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security and to defend against attacks (for example denial of service attacks). We do not analyse this data ourselves and do not combine it with other data.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, fast and reliable provision of our website. Where information on your device is accessed in this context, this is strictly necessary under Section 25 (2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) to provide the service you have expressly requested.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum). Cloudflare processes the data only on our instructions.

Data may be transferred to the USA in this context. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For certified companies, an adequacy decision of the European Commission dated 10 July 2023 applies (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, the contract with Cloudflare includes the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). More information: Cloudflare privacy policy and Data Privacy Framework.

4. Network error reports (Network Error Logging)

When you access the website, Cloudflare sends a technical instruction to your browser (Network Error Logging). If your browser supports this feature, it stores the instruction and, in the event of connection errors, sends a short technical error report to Cloudflare, such as the requested address, the type of error and the time. According to Cloudflare, the IP address is used only briefly to determine country, region and network operator and is not stored in this context. The reports serve solely to detect network disruptions and ensure the availability of the website.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the uninterrupted delivery of the website. We base the storage of the instruction in your browser on Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG. Some browsers allow you to disable this feature in their settings.

5. Contact by email

If you send us an email, we process your email address, your name (if provided), the content of your message and the date and time in order to handle and answer your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to steps prior to entering into a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in answering enquiries.

Our mailbox is operated by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. According to STRATO, data is processed exclusively in data centres in Germany.

We delete your data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. We retain business correspondence for six or ten years in accordance with German commercial and tax law (Section 257 German Commercial Code, Section 147 German Fiscal Code).

Please note that unencrypted emails are not fully protected against access by third parties during transmission.

6. Link to LinkedIn

This website contains a simple link to our LinkedIn profile. It is not an embedded plugin, so no data is transferred to LinkedIn when you visit our website. Only when you click the link do you leave our website; from then on, LinkedIn's privacy policy applies.

7. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted locally and delivered together with the website. No connection is made to servers of Google or other font providers.

8. Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by "https://" in your browser's address bar).

9. No obligation to provide data, no automated decision-making

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. However, the website cannot be displayed without the technically necessary connection data. No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

10. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, simply send an email to boris.lokschin@leodor-ventures.com.

11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

30159 Hannover
